Système Electronique d’Autorisation de Voyage Electronic System for Travel Authorization
Comme vous le savez , un visa n’est pas nécessaire pour les Belges se rendant aux Etats Unis quand le séjour projeté n’excède pas 3 mois (90 j). As you know, a visa is not necessary for Belgians visiting in the United States when the planned stay does not exceed 3 months (90 d).
A partir du 1er août 2008 les Etats-Unis démarrent le Système Electronique d’Autorisation de Voyage: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/id_visa/esta/ ). From 1st August 2008 the United States start the Electronic System Travel Authorization: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/id_visa/esta/).
Ceci implique que les voyageurs à destination des Etats-Unis peuvent, sur base volontaire , se faire enregistrer par internet. This means that travelers to the United States may, on a voluntary basis, to register via the Internet.
L’ enregistrement par internet remplace dans ce cas le formulaire I-94W qui devait être rempli à bord de l’avion. The registration by internet, in this case the I-94W which should be completed on board the aircraft.
Il est fortement recommandé de se faire enregistrer au moins 72 heures avant le départ. It is strongly recommended to register at least 72 hours before departure.
L’enregistrement est gratuit. Registration is free.
