Canada Embassy in Austria
Canadian Embassy in Austria is situated in Vienna and it provides Visa services to persons residing in Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, the Slovak Republic and Slovenia. In addition it is responsible for application for permanent residence of residents of Montenegro and Serbia.
It processes temporary resident applications (visitor visas, study and work permits) as well as applications for permanent residence (immigration) and Canada Embassy in Austria is the sole Authority for issuing Visas. It warns the applicants for frauds who claim to get Visas stating ti have influence or False Documents.
The Embassy of Canada in Austria provides all the forms and procedure to be adopted for the various types of Visas online. Also there may be a slight difference in Visa policies for Different countries, the residents of which apply to the Embassy and which are mentioned above.
For example as of March 1st, 2008, citizens of the Slovak Republic and Hungary no longer require a temporary resident visa to visit Canada or Poland and Lithuania require e-passport for visa-free travel to Canada – effective January 1, 2009 or as of November 1st, 2007, citizens of the Czech Republic no longer require a temporary resident visa to visit Canada.
The Consular Section also provides services to Canadian citizen who are visiting these countries about travel documents required etc. to make their visit comfortable.
If you are visiting Canada one of the first tourist attractions that comes to mind is of course Niagara Falls, this wonderful natural creations make one spellbound by its sheer force and size. Niagara Falls is divided between American Falls on American side and Horse Shoe Falls in Canada. It is situated on the border of USA and Canada.
It has even frozen sometimes in winter giving a glimpse of the river bed and even artifacts of earlier centuries were found during these frozen periods when water didn’t flow. At night the Falls are illuminated with lights which are a beautiful sight to behold. It is also a source of Hydro Electric Power; with 202,000 cubic feet per second of water flow at peak season.
