Canada Embassy in Costa Rica
The Canadian Embassy in Costa Rica is located at San Jose, it is also accredited to the Governments of Honduras and Nicaragua and has offices of the Canadian Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Managua, Nicaragua.
The Visa Visas and Immigration section receives applications for temporary resident visas (visitor, tourism, study or temporary work permits). Only personnel from this section have the authority to provide information on visas to apply for a visa, you must personally visit our offices with the completed form and supporting documents. There, you will be given an interview that is part of the process.
Process for obtaining Temporary Resident Visa (visitor, tourism, business and transit) is as given. The passport must be of recent issuance, with a maximum of 9 years and 6 months having transpired since its date of issue. The passport must be valid for a minimum period of 6 months.
Single-entry visa: This visa allows you to enter Canada only one time during the visa's period of validity.
Multiple-entry visa: Allows you to enter Canada as many times as you wish during the visa's validity period.
Transit visa: If you are only going to Canada for transit purposes, with a stop no longer than 48 hours without leaving the port of entry, on commercial transportation, you will need to request a transit visa before traveling to Canada. THERE IS NO COST FOR THIS VISA.
One of the tourist destinations for Canada is Toronto. Toronto's most famous landmark is the CN Tower, a 553 meter- (1,815 foot-) tall steel and concrete transmission tower and observation deck which is the second tallest freestanding structure in the world. Directly west of it is the Rogers Centre (formerly SkyDome), the world's first sporting arena to feature a fully retractable roof.
It is currently home to the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Argonauts. Nearby, the Air Canada Centre is the home of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Raptors, and the Toronto Rock. It was built to replace the legendary Maple Leaf Gardens. Additionally, there is BMO Field, which the home to the MLS team Toronto FC. Toronto's City Hall is one of the city's most distinctive landmarks.
