China Embassy in Afghanistan
The China Embassy in Afghanistan, in Kabul, advises Afghanistan nationals to secure a Visa to enter China for any purposes, such as Tourist/Family Visit Visa for sightseeing and/or visiting relatives or friends, Business Visa for business-related trips, Ordinary Transit Visa for applicants who will use China as a port of entry and checks out of the airport or Direct Transit Visa, those who stays in the premises of the airport and usually on connecting flight. Afghans exempted from China Visa include diplomatic/service (official) passport holders provided they stay in China not more than two (2) weeks only, United Nations Laissez Passport holders who visit China or transit to China to and from a third place for official purposes, and operating aircrew or operating seaman if airline or vessel company employer utilized China as a port of entry. Meanwhile, Afghan nationals who intend to stay in China for two (2) weeks should apply for Visit Visa. Applicants in this Visa type are given the option to accompany their family. A Single-Entry or Double-Entry Transit Visa is issued if the planned stay in China is one (1) week only. The Embassy of China in Afghanistan has mandated that the same ruling applies to government officials holding ordinary passport, or cultural performers in Afghan society and business circles, employees of famous large-scale enterprise in Afghanistan including multinationals, international air carriers and shipping lines, banks and financial entities, insurance entities and foreign representative in Afghanistan.
If the applicants trip is solely for employment purposes, the applicant must present a Certificate Letter or any legal document indicating the same and the nature of business in China duly issued by a China-registered company.
