China Embassy in Bangladesh
According to the arrangement made by the China Embassy in Bangladesh, nationals of Bangladesh must secure a Visa to enter China for any purposes, such as Ordinary Transit, i.e. checking out of the airport or Direct Transit, i.e. staying in the premises of the airport, and visit on tourist or business purposes.
Bangladeshis on exemption from China Visa include diplomatic/service (official) passport holders provided they stay in China for 14 days only, United Nations Laissez Passport holders who visit China or transit to China to and from a third place for official purposes, and operating aircrew or operating seaman if airline or vessel is berthed in Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Bangladeshis intending to stay in China for 14 days should apply for Visit Visa and are given the option to accompany their family. If the stay is limited to one week, only a Single-Entry or Double-Entry Transit Visa is needed.
The Embassy of China in Bangladesh announced that the same applies to government officials holding ordinary passport, celebrities in Bangladeshi society and business circles, employees of famous large-scale enterprise in Bangladesh including multinationals, international air carriers and shipping lines, banks and financial entities, insurance entities and foreign representative in Bangladesh. If on employment purposes, the applicant must present a Certificate Letter indicating the nature of business in China duly issued by a China-registered company.
