China Information

Examples of exceptional Chinese architecture dating back to 2,000 years ago have long been a hallmark of unique Chinese culture.

Regardless of specific region or utilization, there are certain features common to Chinese architecture with much emphasis on width, as would the wide halls of the Forbidden City now Beijing. Pagodas are an exception because they contrast akin to the western architecture penchant for height.

Chinese architecture is also particular on symmetry, with designs fashioned on grandeur and opulence and applied to varied structures from quaint farmhouses to grand palaces. Designs of gardens and parks also take the symmetrical concept with enduring flow akin to Chinese scroll paintings.

The all familiar principle Feng shui is always taken into consideration in any structural development.
