China Embassy in Vietnam
The Embassy of China in Vietnam is authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China to handle visa applications and consulate services for Vietnam citizens seeking entry to China. A Vietnamese, on ordinary travel as opposed to diplomatic arrangements, is issued a China visa depending on his or her nature of travel, as follows: Tourist/Family Visit Visa, Business Visa, Student Visa, and Employment Visa. Tourist/Family Visa is issued to a Vietnamese visitor to China purely on vacation-related trip such as sightseeing tours, on leisure or visiting family connections. Business Visa is granted to a Vietnam citizen purposely coming China on invitation for a profession-related duty such as participation in a conference or a business meeting, a speaking engagement, or short-term academic-related missions given that the assignment lasts for a period of less than 6 months only. The applicant will be asked to present a Visa Notification Form issued by Chinese authorized unit or a legal invitation document from a Chinese host. Employment Visa is issued to Vietnamese citizens entering China on confirmed employment or commercial entertainment performance. Acceptable document would be a working permit such as one issued by Ministry of Labor and Social Security, of the Alien Employment License of the People's Republic of China. Accompanying family members may be granted China Visa, as well, provided they met the requirements set by Chinese Embassy in Vietnam. Academic institutions in China that admit international students have special arrangements with the Embassy of Vietnam in China for the issuance of Student Visa which has two classifications: F for students on short-term courses or less than 6 months, and X for students staying six months beyond. The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam specifies that mailed applications will not be accepted. Know China China officially bears the title Peoples Republic of China.
